Tyler Loop's 56-yard field goal ended a dramatic finish Sunday at Rio de Janeiro's Maracanã, lifting Baltimore over Dallas 34-31 in the NFL's first game in Rio. The announced crowd was 72,792. Lamar Jackson completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers, then stopped the clock with one second remaining so Loop could attempt the winning kick.
Dallas had tied the score at 31 with seven seconds left when Brandon Aubrey made his third field goal of the game, this one from 23 yards. The Cowboys had taken a 28-24 lead early in the fourth quarter after KaVontae Turpin scored on a 9-yard run.
Earlier, Dak Prescott connected with Jake Ferguson for a 19-yard touchdown, followed by a two-point pass to CeeDee Lamb. Baltimore had led 24-13 after Derrick Henry's two rushing touchdowns, a Loop field goal and Jackson's 4-yard scoring pass to Chris Moore. Jackson later found rookie tight end Matt Hibner from 2 yards with 1:30 remaining.
Prescott finished 25 of 40 for 276 yards and a touchdown. Javonte Williams gained 98 yards and scored on 19 carries, while Lamb had seven receptions for 112 yards. Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Henry carried 26 times for 89 yards and two scores. Dallas fell to 1-2, and Baltimore moved to 2-1.
