Howe, Texas — Will Grier will join the Cowboys as an offensive assistant, beginning the role when training camp opens next week.
He will now serve on Brian Schottenheimer’s staff, again working in the same organization as Dak Prescott.
Howe-area Cowboys followers will see the new offensive-assistant role start with training camp next week.
Carolina selected Grier in the third round in 2019. He later had two separate Cowboys stints, largely in preseason and practice-squad roles.
Dallas made the announcement July 24. The club said the 31-year-old had recently retired after an offseason with Carolina; ESPN reported he ended his playing career July 15.
