Frontage roads stay one way through Howe as U.S. 75 work narrows Hall Cemetery Road to one lane

Howe's section of the U.S. 75 frontage roads, which switched to one-way traffic on Feb. 4, stays that way this week, TxDOT's Paris District said in its weekly road report covering the days from Oct. 5.

The one-way frontage roads run from Haning Street north to FM 902. At Hall Cemetery Road, traffic is limited to one lane while crews complete striping and other finishing work, and a new U-turn bridge is being built just south of that road.

The work belongs to the project that is widening U.S. 75 to six lanes from the Collin County line north to FM 902. Farther north, between FM 902 and FM 1417, crews are widening the highway and building new U-turn bridges at FM 1417, along with new main-lane bridges over the BNSF tracks and Choctaw Creek.

TxDOT warns that weather or equipment issues can change the schedule. Howe is about 9 miles south of Sherman, and the countywide roundup is on our Sherman site: https://sherman.city/article/u-s-75-work-frontage-road-closures-continue-in-grayson-county-for-week-of-oct-5
