A major focus for the Cowboys this year is their defense, which struggled in 2025 by allowing an average of 30 points per game, the highest in the league. With a new defensive coordinator, Christian Parker, implementing a 3-4 scheme, the team could see as many as seven new starters on defense.
In contrast, the offense remains mostly unchanged, having averaged 27.7 points per game last season, providing Schottenheimer with a stable group as the defense undergoes significant changes.
