The fourth quarter brought a flurry of points from Dallas. Sam Howell found Jordan Hudson on a 26-yard pass for a touchdown, with a Brandon Aubrey kick making it 24-16.

Howell then connected with Mitch Van Vooren on a 21-yard pass, and Howell successfully ran for the two-point conversion to tie the game at 24-24. The final play of the game was Carlson’s 53-yard field goal, securing the 27-24 victory for the Saints.

Sam Howell led the Cowboys with 155 passing yards on 12 of 18 attempts and two touchdowns. Jordan Hudson was the top receiver with four catches for 97 yards and one touchdown. Phil Mafah carried the ball 12 times for 46 yards.

For the Saints, Zach Wilson completed nine of 12 passes for 93 yards. Audric Estime rushed for 46 yards on four carries, while Ronnie Bell led the receiving corps with six catches for 65 yards.
