Howe, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.2550 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 2, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.2050 yesterday. That is up from $3.1510 a week ago but lower than $3.7010 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3440, while the national average is $3.8380. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Sherman-Denison average remains below its recorded high of $4.8150, set on June 16, 2022. Regular prices are about 45 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.6320, drivers are paying about 62 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.2400 per gallon, AAA reported.
