Howe, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.6790 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 24, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.6720 yesterday. That is up from $3.6400 a week ago but higher than $3.1610 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.7090, while the national average is $4.1050. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 52 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7910, drivers are paying about 89 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.9030 per gallon, AAA reported.
