One Hospitalized After Pickup Crashes Into Semi on Highway 75 in Howe

At least one person was transported to a McKinney hospital Friday afternoon after a pickup truck collided with a semi-truck on Highway 75 in Howe, and police say the driver may have suffered a medical emergency.

HOWE, Texas — One person was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a pickup truck crashed into a parked semi-truck along Highway 75 in Howe, according to the Howe Police Department.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:43 p.m. on Friday when the pickup truck, traveling along the shoulder of the highway, struck the trailer of a semi-truck that appeared to be stopped on the shoulder. Dashcam video shared by the department captured the moment of impact.

Police said the driver of the pickup may have experienced a medical emergency just before the crash. At least one person was transported to a hospital in McKinney for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

No other injuries were reported. The Howe Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.

Traffic on Highway 75 was affected in the area near the crash site Friday afternoon as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
