Astros Rally Behind Relief Pitching

Scoring Sequence

Walker walked, allowing Vázquez to score, making it 4-2. Later in the same inning, Smith doubled to left field, scoring Alvarez and Paredes to give Houston a 6-2 lead. The White Sox scored one final run in the seventh inning when C. Montgomery hit a solo home run to right field, ending the game at 6-3.
Pitching Performance
Anthony Kay started for Chicago but struggled, pitching 4.2 innings while allowing six hits and five earned runs. He also issued two walks and struck out five batters. Trevor Richards pitched 2.1 innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out two. Tyler Davis finished the game, pitching one inning without allowing hits or earned runs while striking out one.
For Houston, Peter Lambert started, pitching 4.2 innings. He allowed three hits and two earned runs, walked five batters, and struck out six. Enyel De Los Santos pitched one inning, allowing three walks but no hits or earned runs.
