Weigman’s four touchdown passes were the highlight of a solid passing performance, completing 17 of 22 attempts for 239 yards. Re’Shaun Sanford II provided a strong rushing presence with 17 carries for 120 yards, while Trent Walker led the receiving corps with six receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown.

For Georgia Southern, Max Johnson completed 26 of 38 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Alex Taylor was the Eagles’ top receiver, catching six passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. David Mbadinga carried the ball six times for 37 yards.

The win improves Houston’s record to 3-1, while Georgia Southern falls to 1-3. Attendance at the Statesboro venue was 24,112.
