Early Scoring and First Half Lead
Los Angeles opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 34-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker, taking a 3-0 advantage. The Texans responded quickly, tying the game at 7-7 when Davis Mills connected with Jared Wayne on a five-yard touchdown pass, followed by Chris Freeman’s extra point.
The momentum shifted decisively in the second quarter as Amar Johnson broke through for a seven-yard rushing touchdown. With Dicker’s kick good, the Chargers took a 10-7 lead into halftime. Houston failed to generate any offensive production in the second period, allowing Los Angeles to build a comfortable margin before the break.
Third Quarter Field Goal and Fourth Quarter Surge
The third quarter remained scoreless until Cameron Dicker extended the Chargers' lead with a 48-yard field goal, making it 13-7. The game broke open in the fourth quarter as Amar Johnson added another rushing touchdown from one yard out. He also completed a two-point conversion run himself, pushing the score to 21-7.
