Von Miller has signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, marking his return to Texas. The announcement was made by Miller via an Instagram post, where he shared his enthusiasm with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
Miller, a DeSoto, Texas native located about 25 minutes south of Dallas, has deep connections to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. He enters his 15th NFL season after a previous stint with the Washington Commanders, where he tallied 26 tackles and nine sacks across 17 games.
A two-time Super Bowl champion, Miller won championships with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos and has also played for the Buffalo Bills. Over his career, Miller has amassed 138.5 sacks, placing him 13th all-time, alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy.
His career stats include 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles in 203 games, along with eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
