The Dallas Cowboys could enter their Sept. 27 game against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro without four defensive players. Cornerback Cobie Durant is managing a hamstring strain, while safety PJ Locke has a torn plantar fascia in his foot. Both are expected to miss multiple weeks, and coach Brian Schottenheimer said Dallas has not decided whether either player will go on injured reserve.

Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, also dealing with a hamstring strain, and safety Malik Hooker, who has a broken forearm, have not been cleared after sitting out the game against Washington. Schottenheimer said the compressed schedule could make their availability harder to determine, with Dallas' first official injury report due Sept. 23.

He said the team can turn to other players, including defensive adjustments and linebacker elevations used against Washington. Jaishawn Barham and Dee Winters are doing well after a stinger and shoulder issue, respectively, and might not be listed on the report.

Dallas is set to depart Sept. 24 for a 10-hour flight to Rio de Janeiro. The source did not clearly identify Von Miller's role in the game. After the Washington win, Jones made a comment about the risks posed by an older man with money.

On 105.3 The Fan, he connected that remark to possible football additions and said he would spend to improve a team he views positively. Jones also identified defensive tackles Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark as key parts of the defense. The El Paso Times reported the injury developments and Jones' remarks.
