The Dallas Cowboys are expected to look for additional help at safety after Jalen Thompson suffered a hamstring injury. Executive vice president Stephen Jones said Thompson is likely to miss at least four weeks, while the source did not identify any players or teams Dallas might pursue.
Dallas is scheduled to face the 0-3 Houston Texans next Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern time in Houston. The Cowboys entered the season’s third game with a 1-2 record.
Thompson was hurt during Dallas’ 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. The Cowboys appeared close to forcing overtime late in the game, but Baltimore completed a long pass and then made a field goal to win.
Dallas had also allowed the New York Giants to produce a strong offensive performance in Week 1 and gave up late production to Marcus Mariota in Week 2.
