Six Texans did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, including five players listed as unavailable because of injuries. Tight end Dalton Schultz was held out for rest. The injury absences included linebacker Jake Hummel and offensive guard Ed Ingram, each with a groin issue, along with defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who was listed with a knee injury.
Offensive tackle Trent Brown was unavailable with problems involving his knee and wrist. Wide receiver Nico Collins also remained out because of a hamstring injury. Collins sustained the injury during practice last week and missed Houston’s Week 2 loss to the Bengals. No additional details were provided about the other injuries.
Three defensive players participated on a limited basis. Will Anderson Jr. was resting, while Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart were listed with knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who have thumb injuries, practiced fully. The injury information was reported by sports.yahoo.com.
