Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said wide receiver Nico Collins and guard Ed Ingram could return Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys after sitting out the past two games. Ryans said Houston is hopeful both will be ready for the Week 4 contest.
Collins, a Pro Bowl selection and three-time 1,000-yard receiver, has been absent as Houston has had difficulty generating production from its outside receivers. Dalton Schultz has been the primary exception. Xavier Hutchinson led the team during the past two games with nine receptions totaling 120 yards. In one meeting with the Buffalo Bills, Collins recorded seven receptions, 75 yards and a touchdown.
Ingram’s absence has moved Wyatt Teller into the starting role at right guard. Houston has produced 130 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown over its past two games. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, sidelined by a knee injury for two games, is still classified as week-to-week.
