The Houston Texans are evaluating the potential addition of Jaden Davis, a cornerback previously with the Arizona Cardinals. Recently cleared to play, Davis participated in a workout with the Texans, according to reports from KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, where he was the 226th overall selection. His recent workout was showcased in a social media video, demonstrating his readiness to return to action.

The Texans are aiming to strengthen their cornerback lineup, which has been impacted by injuries since 2025. Currently, safety Jalen Pitre is stepping into the nickelback position, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round pick from the 2025 draft, has missed much of his rookie season due to injuries.

Davis was highlighted in The Athletic's draft guide as a notable remaining prospect. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein characterized him as a nickel corner with commendable foot speed and agility, though he noted that improving his anticipation skills would be crucial for his success in the NFL. Further updates on Davis's potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as developments unfold.
