Dalton Schultz, a tight end with the Houston Texans, was absent from all three preseason games. Alongside him, wide receiver Nico Collins and running back David Montgomery also did not play, while quarterback C.J. Stroud had limited participation during the matchup with the Raiders on August 20.
Schultz is coming off a productive 2025 regular season, having recorded a career-high 82 receptions and 777 receiving yards, which is his best showing since the 2021 season when he played for the Cowboys and achieved 808 yards.
With Jayden Higgins out for the entire 2026 season because of a knee injury and Tank Dell placed on injured reserve to start the season, Schultz and Collins are anticipated to be significant targets for Stroud in the upcoming season.
Further information regarding the Texans' roster and player injuries remains unclear.
