The Longhorns' coaches are not feeling pressured to finalize their choice before the season opener, which allows them to continue their assessment of the left guard role. Sarkisian noted that successful offensive line performance depends on more than individual talent; communication and chemistry are essential, particularly when facing opponents.
Sarkisian has stressed the need for continuity on the offensive line to ensure the protection of quarterback Arch Manning. He observed that during the first scrimmage, the first-team offensive line showed good cohesion while experimenting with various lineups.
