Dallas has promoted linebacker Barron to its 53-player roster and brought cornerback Reddy Steward up from the practice squad ahead of its game against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. Barron played in the previous game under a temporary practice-squad elevation and gives the Cowboys added linebacker depth with DeMarvion Overshown sidelined.
P.J. Locke will move to injured reserve because of a foot injury sustained against the Washington Commanders, a designation that keeps him out for at least four additional weeks. Malik Hooker also remains unavailable while recovering from a fractured forearm.
Overshown is dealing with a hamstring injury, and cornerback Cobie Durant has another hamstring issue. Durant, a starter, was hurt in Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Steward also gives Dallas another secondary option. He recorded significant defensive playing time for the Cowboys in 2025, primarily as a nickel cornerback, and has also played safety. The team’s other listed safeties are Jalen Thompson, Caleb Downs, Markquese Bell and Alijah Clark.
Linebackers Jaishawn Barham and Dee Winters were injured against Washington but finished the game. The updates were reported on the Cowboys’ official website.
