The Dallas Cowboys recently made key adjustments to their roster to comply with the NFL's 53-player limit. Among those released were second-year running back Jaydon Blue and quarterback Joe Milton III, who had performed well in preseason games. Additionally, former second-round pick Sam Williams was also cut from the team.

In a move to bolster their lineup, the Cowboys acquired running back Emari Demercado off waivers and added offensive tackle Wanya Morris to their roster. Many of the players who were let go have been retained on the practice squad, which now features a combination of rookies and seasoned players. The practice squad includes Israel Abanikanda, Jordan Hudson, Anthony Smith, Michael Trigg, and several others.

Noteworthy performances during the preseason came from wide receiver Jordan Hudson and defensive tackle Tommy Dunn, both of whom made significant contributions. Linebacker Justin Barron, a former safety, showcased his skills in coverage, while Curtis Robinson was effective on special teams.

Some players who were released have already found new opportunities; for instance, Julius Wood was picked up by the Miami Dolphins, and guard Trevor Keegan signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Jaydon Blue and defensive backs Zion Childress and Trikweze Bridges have also signed with other NFL practice squads, indicating new beginnings for them after their time with the Cowboys. Further updates on the team's roster changes are anticipated.
