Baylor Women's Tennis Welcomes New Player for 2026-27 Season

Baylor University has announced the signing of Gao Duanrui to its women's tennis roster for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Joey Scrivano praised Duanrui's dedication, mental resilience, and strong work ethic.

Duanrui, originally from Tianjin, China, has reached a peak ranking of No. 1,186 in singles and No. 1,435 in doubles on the WTA tour. She has achieved 52 singles wins, with significant victories at the M15 Tianjin in 2026 and the W15 Luan and Maanshan tournaments in 2025.

In doubles, she has made it to the quarterfinals on five occasions, including her participation at the W15 Tianjin in 2026 and three different draws at the W15 Luan in 2025.

The Baylor women's tennis team finished the 2025 season ranked No. 34 in the ITA Year-End team standings, marking their 27th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their 19th journey to the second round. The season also included four selections to the All-Big 12 team, three victories over ranked opponents, and two players qualifying for both the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
