Astros dominate Rangers 11-2 behind Diaz, Paredes homers

Houston's offense was relentless on Saturday, tallying 11 runs to secure a decisive 11-2 victory over the Texas Rangers at Daikin Park. The Astros (56-55) capitalized on early opportunities and maintained their lead throughout the contest, while the Rangers (55-55) struggled to contain Houston's batting order.

Yainer Diaz provided a significant spark for Houston, launching a home run to left center in the seventh inning that extended the lead to 9-2. Earlier in the game, Diaz had driven in a run with a double in the second inning. Isaac Paredes also contributed power, homering to left in the fifth inning and adding a single in the seventh that scored another run. The Astros' scoring began in the second inning when Adolis García singled, allowing Marcus Semien to score, followed by a double from Corey Seager that brought in two more runs. In the fourth inning, Seager singled to left, scoring another run. The Rangers managed to get on the board in the sixth inning when Corey Seager homered to right center, followed by a single from Josh Smith that scored a run.

Texas Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi took the loss, pitching 5.0 innings while allowing 10 hits and 6 earned runs. He struck out 5 batters but walked 1.
