The turning point began with Walker reaching on an infield single to first base, which drove in Peña to make it 3-4. Alvarez then scored on a wild pitch by Rangers reliever Cole Winn, extending the Houston lead to 5-4. The Rangers challenged the call on the field, but the umpires upheld the decision, effectively sealing the inning’s swing.
Offensive Highlights
Texas jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage in the second inning when Altuve scored on a Wade Jr. single to right field. Smith advanced to third during the play. The Rangers tied the game at 1-1 in the third inning when Langford homered to left field, measuring 348 feet.

For Texas, Jacob deGrom took the loss after pitching 3.1 innings. He allowed seven hits and five earned runs while striking out three batters despite issuing five walks. Cole Winn entered in relief but was charged with the run that gave Houston the lead before being replaced by Tyler Alexander, who pitched two scoreless innings.
