Canzone’s Offensive Surge

Dominic Canzone provided the decisive offensive spark for the Seattle Mariners with two home runs, including a pivotal three-run blast that shifted the momentum in the seventh inning. His performance helped Seattle secure a 6-4 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday at Globe Life Field.

Canzone’s first home run came in the seventh inning, a 400-foot shot to right field that drove in three runs and gave the Mariners a 4-3 lead. He added another solo home run in the eighth inning, a 420-foot blast to left field, extending the Mariners' advantage.

His second home run of the game came in the ninth inning via a double to right field that scored Adolis García.

Rangers’ Early Lead and Late Rally

The Rangers jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Corey Seager’s sacrifice fly to center field allowed Marcus Semien to score. Texas tied the game in the third inning when Adolis García singled to left field, allowing Corey Seager to score.

Seattle took the lead in the fourth inning with back-to-back hits. Josh Jung singled to right field, scoring Evan Carter, and later Luis García reached on an infield single to second, allowing Jung to score. The Mariners’ lead was threatened in the eighth when Seager hit a solo home run to left field, narrowing the gap to 5-4.

However, Canzone’s subsequent home run in the same inning restored the two-run lead.

Pitching Performances

Logan Gilbert started for the Mariners, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing three earned runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
