Peña powers Astros offense
Jeremy Peña provided the spark Houston needed, hitting two home runs and contributing significantly to the nine-run offensive output. Peña’s first blast came in the third inning, a 351-foot shot to left field that tied the game at 3-3 after a challenge on the call was upheld. He added another in the seventh, launching a 347-foot homer to left field.
Peña also drove in runs via a single in the eighth inning, which scored Meyers, giving Houston a 9-3 lead. His performance helped secure the win for the home team.
Altuve contributes with multi-run homer
Jose Altuve also played a key role, hitting a three-run home run in the sixth inning. The 349-foot shot to left field broke a 3-3 tie and gave the Astros a 6-3 advantage. Alvarez and Paredes scored on the play.
Altuve added another hit later in the game, a double to left field in the seventh inning that scored Alvarez, extending the lead to 7-3. His contributions, combined with Peña’s power, helped control the game’s momentum.
