TCU has added Angela Stanford to its women’s golf staff as an assistant coach. Stanford is from Saginaw, about 15 miles from Fort Worth. Her appointment follows her recent work as captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team, and TCU cited her background as a major champion and team leader.
Stanford played for the Horned Frogs from 1996 to 2000. During that span, she earned All-American recognition from TCU four times. She remains the only four-time All-American in the program’s history and owns the school record with 10 wins.
TCU head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was very pleased to bring Stanford back to TCU as its third coach. The university did not provide additional information about Stanford’s specific duties with the team.
