Noah Brown has officially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition brings a physical presence and experienced option to the Raiders' receiving lineup, prompting the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Brown's career has faced challenges, including injuries that led to him missing 19 games during his tenure with the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, he demonstrated his potential when healthy, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per catch.
Selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Brown gained recognition for his versatility and reliability. He was a key contributor in Dallas, particularly in the 2022 season, where he recorded 43 catches for 555 yards and three touchdowns, aiding quarterback Dak Prescott.
Following his time with the Cowboys, he moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a successful season with 33 catches totaling 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. Over his NFL career, Brown has tallied 155 receptions, 2,083 yards, and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect him to be the primary target, his size and experience could enhance their receiving options. This signing offers Brown a new chance to advance his NFL career after overcoming injuries in Washington.
