SMU will begin its 2027 football season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium, with the ACC schedule featuring home games against Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. The Mustangs are also set to play five conference road games at Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke.
The nine-game league schedule will be the second played under the ACC's current format. That system calls for each team to have at least 10 games per season against Power Four opponents. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 schedule are expected in late January.
SMU has gone 15-2 in ACC play since Rhett Lashlee became head coach. The Mustangs have also remained unbeaten in conference games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, a home record that leads the league among ACC teams over that stretch. SMU is scheduled to travel to Louisville this week to face No. 23 Louisville.
