SMU announced that fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers has joined its men’s basketball program. Sellers is enrolled and practicing with the team in Dallas, but the school has not announced when his eligibility status will be decided.
Sellers spent the 2025-26 season at St. John’s, where he appeared in 36 starts and produced 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. The Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. The season before, Sellers started every game for Stanford and averaged 13.7 points per contest in the ACC.
He played his first two college seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield. Sellers has made 37.8% of his three-point attempts during his career, including 42.9% as a USC sophomore, his best single-season mark. He has also made 86.9% of his free throws. The addition comes during Enfield’s third season at SMU, with the program’s 2026-27 transfer group ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
