The Houston Texans have not determined whether wide receiver Nico Collins will play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 after he missed consecutive practices because of a hamstring injury. Collins was injured during Houston’s Wednesday workout and did not participate Thursday or Friday.
Adam Schefter reported that the team’s doctors did not consider the injury serious, but Collins’ continued absence has left his game status unresolved. Ian Rapoport said Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show* that missing both practices was a negative indication for Collins’ chances of playing, while also saying the hamstring issue did not appear serious.
Collins, 27, produced seven catches for 75 yards and a touchdown from 10 targets in Houston’s 36-31 defeat against the Buffalo Bills to begin the 2026 season. He had surpassed 1,000 receiving yards during each of the prior three seasons. ClutchPoints.com reported that Collins could potentially return for Houston’s Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27 if he is unavailable against Cincinnati.
