The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall to strengthen their roster before a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.
At 28 years old, Hall previously played for the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, being the 158th overall pick. Over his career, Hall has started in 26 of 40 games, recording 122 total tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.
Standing at 6-foot-1, his versatility is expected to enhance the Texans' special teams, an area needing improvement.
Injuries have posed challenges for the Texans' secondary, with players like Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan sidelined due to various issues. Hall's addition comes at a crucial time as the team looks to bolster its depth and experience during the preseason. Updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury status are expected as the preseason continues.
