Rafaela Powers Offensive Outburst
Rafaela delivered a standout performance for the Boston Red Sox, hitting two home runs and driving in four runs to lead Boston to a 10-1 victory over the Texas Rangers at Fenway Park on Friday. His power display included a two-run shot in the eighth inning that helped extend Boston's lead significantly.
Rafaela opened the scoring for the Red Sox in the first inning with a sacrifice fly that brought home Abreu. He later added a double in the fifth inning that scored Gasper, and his second home run of the game in the eighth inning drove in two more runs. His consistent production was a key factor in the lopsided final score.
Gray Dominates on the Mound
Sonny Gray earned the win for Boston, pitching six innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out seven batters. He did not walk a batter in his outing, providing a strong foundation for the Red Sox offense.
The Red Sox bullpen maintained the lead with perfect relief. Tyron Guerrero pitched a scoreless inning with no hits allowed, followed by Danny Coulombe who also retired the side without allowing a run. Tommy Kahnle closed out the game with a scoreless inning, recording one strikeout.
Rangers' Offensive Struggles Continue
The Texas Rangers managed only one run in the game, which came in the first inning when Langford singled to left, allowing Pederson to score. Despite this early output, the Rangers were unable to generate further offense against Gray and the Red Sox defense.
